I recently traveled to Los Angeles for work. It was my first time and the harshness of the landscape was a surprise to me. I sensed that this place didn’t really want anyone living there. I took my camera on a hike on my day off to try and pin down where that feeling came from, and ended up collecting images of rocks and the plants that fought to grow among them.
